It’s a long time back around 2002 end (I guess) when I was learning the basics of web interface and did a small personal website over geocites(which unfortunately was closed out later). I did a small section on my closest friends.
I was going thru the archives yesterday and found the backup of the same. Going thru these bought up some wonderful memories and left me wondering how the life evolves. How we meet new people and how we loose the touch from old ones, felt for a moment that life is like a tree or something and every new relationship is like a branch in the tree. As the time passes by the branches grows as well, some remain near to each other over a period of time and some grow further away from each other in their own way moving in fulfilling their destines which life has planned for them.
Its interesting to see your thoughts from the past – how kiddish you were, how the relations ships have panned out over time and what you thought about the people who mattered to you in the past. I have tired many times to start writing notes of my thoughts but never able to keep them up on continuous basis. I will not blame in to the life style or any other thing we have as I’m a firm believer in “one can achieve anything as long as he is stub born enough to keep on trying till the goal is achieved..”
Anyways coming to the point with the aim of which I started this note – sharing my thoughts / my views from the past about my friends among whom there are few with whom I’m still in touch, with few the connect is moving towards and sun set and with few it is already lights out (yeah yeah the lights out sounds a bit sad… but it is fair to call a spade as a spade only). All I can say to those who have parted is – “Y’all the time shared with you are cherished and you are missed at times…”

My Friends:-
Tarun (A. K. A. – “Tomu”)
The best word for me to describe Tarun will be “Soul Mate”. There had been some very good friends of mine but the thing which differentiates my relationship with Tarun from others the needlessness to talk. We usually talk once in a while or sometimes even less but whenever me meet or talk, we usually understand each other by the tone of the voice or facial expressions.
When we became friends when we were competitors in our school and every teacher used to compare us but somewhere inside the feeling or competition there was a feeling of regard and respect for each other. Once we started taking each other as friends soon we began to cherish each other's company.
There are quite good number of things which we initiated together like smoking, drinking, etc etc..
In the early days of friendship Tarun used to dominate other persons in the gang like a typical Leo personality but with the course of time and maturity his dominance has soothed in to a calmness, like calmness of standing water, calmness of silent sea shore...
I don know whether this has been good for him or bcoz somehow that has reduced the zest and aggression in him but he is definitely matured and the top among my list.
Monika (A.K.A. “Monu”)
One among the top of my list is Monika usually called as Monu. She is a Libran but do exhibit a bit of aggression some times which is not usually seen among the Librans. Again we became friends during the mid 1999 that to thanxs too Chhavi but still if I start evaluating my college life one of the most important positive outcomes is my friendship with Monu. She has been supportive, reliable, caring and blind enough to ignore my worst mistakes..
She is the one who usually sorts out my problems and from whom I can expect a truthful, real and practical answer for my problems...
Her friendship is a gem for any one..
Chhavi (A. K. A. “CC”)Well my friendship has been different from all with her. In fact it has always been a dog fight rather then soothing friendly chats. Being friends of each other since 1996 has not even helped it either. Moreover sometimes I feel surprised by asking my self whether we are friends as we want to or we are friends so that we pull each other legs.. but those fight have their own kind of amusement, it's one of those things which I'll be missing for long long time.. She is a Lioness who hates to be carried away, but very entertaining, courageous, jolly and does possess a very big heart.. In fact I respect her a lot for the way she has forgiven me for the silliest mistakes ever made by me..
Over all she is unique in herself, bug hearted and her presence guaranties the fun filled environment...
Deepika (A. K. A. “Deepa”)Deepa, Deepa Deepa. What to say about her. One word which comes first thing to my mind when I think about her is “Guardian”. She is a friends of friends and very protective about her friends – always guiding, defending, and helping me out during my college days. She is damn funny too when in the right company. Club her with Chhavi and there two are unstoppable. I can honestly say she has been my rock over my college years; at this moment our friendship may not be going great guns for the reasons I do not know or understand… May be the gaps of two years have turned us in to different persons. All I would say is person would be very very lucky to have a friend like Deepa around and dear does not matter we remain friends or not but you will always be missed.
Gunjan (A. K. A. “Princess”)Well She has been find of the year for me. Being taking in to the account the age of our friendship our relation has reached to the enormous depth. She is the one person who whom I can discuss almost anything, the good, the bad, the weird too...
She is one of the most extra ordinary persons I have ever encountered, she is outspoken, daring, jolly and most important witty... a bit too witty to handle some times. We have been in the same college since 1996 but came in to touch with each other during the mid-2002 only but since then our relationship has been on a roller coaster ride...
Her company is cherished, lovely and damn enjoyable..
Manish (A. K. A. “Pradhan”)
He is one who is my idol in a way. I have always been amused by the simplicity yet dignity of Manish. He is an archer by Zodiac. He is one guy who even if goes in a camp of enemies will come out with some friends. His attitude is crystal clear, simple, straight and believing in living the moment rather than worry about other things at that time. He loves to roam around, discuss things and over all with this kind of a person one can never feel uncomfortable or irritated. Though we knew each other from as long as 1996 but we became good friends in 2000 - 2001 only.
I more I've known him the more I've respected him..
